The Dream Academy - Somewhere in the Sun (The Best of)

Source: Wikipedia

Somewhere In The Sun... Best Of The Dream Academy is a compilation album released by The Dream Academy in Japan in 2000. The compilation album contains the extended version of Life In A Northern Town and an acoustic version of The Party rather than the more common versions. At the time of its release, Nick Laird-Clowes revealed that the band actually had no involvement with the album, and he went on further to say that they weren’t even informed by Warners that a compilation album was being made. His former label boss, Alan McGee, then of Creation Records, was the one who actually brought him home a copy when he was visiting Japan on business. According to Kate St John, around the same time that this album was being made, Warner Brothers were considering a US compilation album, but they and the band decided to re-issue their first album, The Dream Academy. Because of its somewhat limited availability, it is one of the more sought after Dream Academy albums.

The Psychedelic Furs - Beautiful Chaos (Greatest Hits Live)

Source: Amazon

Give Richard Butler and his re-formed Psychedelic Furs credit for knowing what's expected of them. This energetic, note-perfect, live greatest-hits collection (recorded in the cozy confines of Hollywood's House of Blues on the band's 2001 reunion tour) trades on the same tastefully retro, Velvet Underground-meets-Roxy Music sensibility that the Furs displayed in their first 1980 to '91 incarnation--no trip-hop beats, samples, or techno loops for these guys. And if this is a band out of time, it's one whose hazy sense of the dramatic remains surprisingly robust. Though their later, more pop-oriented American radio staples "Pretty in Pink" and "President Gas" still pulse with '80s rock energy--as does the single new studio track, "Alive (For Once in My Lifetime)," included here--the band still seems to have a special place in its heart for the dark and dreamy songs that initially defined them, as represented by "India," the hypnotic "Sister Europe," and the chaotic splendor of "Dumb Waiters."

Tracklist:
1. India 6:36
2. Mr. Jones 4:02

Morrissey - Viva Hate (Limited Edition)

Source: Wikipedia
Viva Hate is Morrissey's debut solo album, released on March 14, 1988. The album was considered Morrissey's very strong foray into a solo career, as he utilized his traditional lyrical style and retained the basic sound that The Smiths had developed by the time they broke up.

In 1997, EMI, in celebration of their 100th anniversary, released a special edition of this album in the UK. It features different cover work, and a different booklet, and features 8 bonus tracks - only one of which was contemporaneous with the album. "Hairdresser on Fire" does not appear on this version despite originally added to the North American version of the album as a bonus track.

Guns N' Roses - EP (Live from the Jungle)

Source: Wikipedia
The second EP by Guns N' Roses was released in Japan only. The cover of the EP states Guns N' Roses, hence it is often called as such. It is also known as Live from the Jungle, named so because part of the large red text on the album's obi strip reads "raibu furomu za janguru", meaning "live from the jungle". This is a reference to the song Welcome to the Jungle, even though the song itself doesn't appear on the EP. The record has been released in LP, cassette, and CD format.
Tracks one, four and five were recorded live at the Marquee Club in London on June 28, 1987. Track two and three sound like live recordings, but are actually studio recordings with overdubbed crowd noise. Track 6 is the studio version from Appetite for Destruction. The cover features the banned Robert Williams artwork also used (but very briefly) for Appetite for Destruction.

1. It's So Easy (Live) 3:55

The Fray - You Found Me (Single)

Source: Wikipedia

"You Found Me" is the first single from Denver-based piano rock band The Fray from their eponymous second studio album. The single has been digitally released in the U.S., Canadian, UK, Australian and French iTunes Stores. The song became the group's third single to sell 2,000,000 downloads in the United States, after "How to Save a Life" and "Over My Head. The song was ranked #13 on Billboard's Hot 100 Songs of 2009.

The video was shot in Chicago with Josh Forbes as the director and premiered on December 9, 2008, on VH1 and on the VH1 website. It depicts scenes of the band members in different roles- playing the song in the rafters of a steel building, unknown people, and the members of the band are standing on top of skyscrapers looking towards the sky, and at a car accident at which the band oversees those involved, somehow being their own "guardian angel". The video ends with all material objects being lifted into the air.

Samu't saring araw
